I have finally finished my double page spread. This is what it turned out like: This is my final draft on my magazine double page spread. I liked the way the focus of the poster is the top half of both pages; the eyes of Isaac and the title ‘Isaac’ clearly visible. I wanted to create an article on the reaction to the release of Isaac and its hit success.
Finally we have now finished our media product. After finally finishing the sound editing and going over it, looking at what my target audience thought would work better, I am able to edit the remaining diegetic sound to finish the sound.
While editing my double page spread, i was able to save drafts of the progression of my editing. This allowed me to correct mistakes that might be executed through the process. When creating this double page spread, the hardest part of it was the editing the fading background in as the colouring changed and there was still a hint of blue within the background. I had to crop the right side of the picture so the face was completely on one side of the picture. This was because the face would have been split in half if in the middle.
Again I have continued editing my poster, combining the images that I have edited with the ‘Cutout’ filter. Making layers on Photoshop to add images I was able to finish my collage and have the foreground for my poster. After that I added the writing for the poster, using ‘Lucida Handwriting’ for the Title. I also used ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’ for the poster credits to and shrank the lettering to 9.5 size. I then added the movie award template and the stars, using the duplicate tool to create the same size awards. This allowed me to finished the poster. Here is the editing process throughout:
As we have now finished with our filming, we plan to use the remainder of the week to edit the rest of the main task and get the filming exactly right. cutting down the shots and making the film 5 minutes long.
Looking at the set up for my double page spread, I know the type of images that I am using but I believe that the set out is important so I want to look at different sets.
Here is some digital ideas for my ancillary work:
